You raise a good point that indeed is one of the reasons why I ask for
keeping the old GUI as an option. Wether the old or the new GUI is
deployed as an extension or not is just a detail, the important point is
that we keep the choice.

BTW: this is my personal opinion only, but of course I'm advertizing it
not only here but also amongst the other developers.
