And then copy and paste the bullet, indent, tab stop, etc...
"formatting" from an existing line/paragraph of a previously
formatted 'topic' on top of a line or lines of text. Because it sure
is a pain trying to drag the tab and indent markers to the exact
same positions in several separate places in the document.
You can certainly do some things of this sort:
o Click in an already formatted area.
o Click the Format Paintbrush icon in the Standard toolbar. (The
cursor changes to a paint can.)
o Click the paragraph to be similarly formatted, or drag across the
relevant text.
If you need to use the same formatting in a number of places,
double-click the Format Paintbrush icon instead: the paint can will
than "stick". To cancel this mode, either click the Format
Paintbrush icon again or else press Esc.
Exactly what sorts of formatting are copied depends on what is
selected when you click the Format Paintbrush icon. And you can
exclude paragraph formatting by using Ctrl+click when you apply the
formatting or similarly exclude character formatting by using
Ctrl+Shift+click. Full details are in the help text at Format Paintbrush.
Alternatively, you can create appropriate styles and then apply these
to relevant text.
I trust this helps.
