I opened a Writer document, from a bash prompt, of a text file made in vi(m):
~$ soffice -writer 2009-09-05myfilename1.txt

In Open Office, I did Save As and made it 2009-09-05myfilename1.doc .

And started to change the font from 'Deja vu Sans Mono' to Times New Roman,
with select all, new font - BUT there IS no Times New Roman?

I said ok, let's see what happened to my OO .. and opened another OO Writer.

This one said "Times New Roman" right at the top, so I pasted my text into it
from the other Writer.

And POOF!! There is now NO Times New Roman!

This isn't usual! I don't think it usually sees my text as 'Deja vu Sans
Mono', usually something else. I do have 'Nimbus Roman No9 L' but . . what
happened?

Is it me? Is it Vi(m) is it Bash?

I do a lot of writing in vi(m) because of it's nice black background and
wonderful editing characteristics. What to do about opening files in Writer?
