I have a document which was created using open office. I copied and pasted bar charts from the spreadsheet program into the document however I am having problems opening the document in micorsoft office. I have tryed saving it as a word 2003 file but the document was missing the bar charts. I also tryed saving it as an xml file also with no luck. How can I save this file so I can open it in using microsoft office. I need to be able to open it at work which only uses microsoft office. Please help? Thanks...
I have no idea why the charts are a problem for the file when you save it as a Word document, but you may have some other options if nobody can help you solve that.
Do you have any control over the computers at work? There's a Sun plugin for Office (including Office 2007 SP2, which has a crippled version of ODF support). That would let you work quite well interoperating between the two locations and staying with ODF formats. Of course, it would be better to install OOo there!
Is this file just for your own use, other than maybe creating PDF versions for others? If so, you might be able to use the portable version of OOo on the work computer from a USB drive or CD. I think the version there may lag a bit behind the current release, though.
