Above also works with Thunderbird. Again, I don't/won't use gmail, so
you'll need to sort that bit out on your own... sorry.
My situation:
Under Linux (three PCs, ubuntu, fedora and eeebuntu);
* All use Thunderbird as the default email client. No problem there
* The configuration in OOo (3.1 something) is set to Thunderbird.
Attempting to use the OOo File > Send functions puts up a 'wait' icon
for 15 or so second and then nothing....
As I said, I have not seen it work under Linux.
