I am using kubuntu 9.04, Jaunty Jackalope with OOo 3.0.1.
I know many are going to say upgrade to 3.5x. Fine, however,
I am using the repositories and can only load what they have
configured to work with kubuntu. They really lag behind
getting the latest OOo into the repos.
If I click on the menu selection for OOo Writer, it will open only
the titlebar and that doesn't close normally or shade open.
I found out that by opening Spreadsheet I can then close the
file, not Spreadsheet, and it will give me the splash screen
for OOo. There I can open OOo Writer.
Has anyone in the kubuntu/ubuntu and OOo camp a suggestion
on what I can do to change this?
