Thanks! That was it.
downloaded the RPMs from ooo and it works fine again.
Sometimes I just have to wonder what those guys at Red Hat are thinking...

Hi,
I've used openoffice for years, and I'm currently running 3.1.1 on Fedora
11.
I noticed while working on a text doc that my standard replacements are not
working, so I went to check the replacement table, only to find that it's
no longer there as part of the autocorrect widget. Did it go somewhere
else?
The online Help still describes the old autocorrect replacement table where
it's been for years, but it's just not there.
My autocorrect options widget shows four tabs:
Exceptions Options Custom Quotes Word Completion
I had thought maybe the Word Completion tab had the functionality I
was looking for, but it appears not to.
Have others seen this issue, or is there something defective with
my installation?
