Hi everyone,
I have been using Open Office 2.0 Beta for several months now and I really
like the program. I have recently been trying to find way to get it to
complete a repetitive action several hundred times for example: go through a
list of names and telephone numbers and remove the space between the last
name and the phone number and replace it with a tab. I have gotten a macro
to work fine for this as each name and phone number is on a separate line
but I want to tell the program to repeat my next command (the macro) a
hundred times. Can I do this?

Yes I bet there is. You can probably have the macro count the # of rows
and then have it repeat the command that many times.
I know very little about OOo macros, but I have two suggestions.
1) <http://openoffice.peschtra.com/tips/ooott_macro.html> At the very
top of this page are 4 links for macro info.
2) Search around the net for information OOo macro coding. You can
search these places.
1) Use OOo help.
2) Go to <<documentation.openoffice.org>>. Search the *docs*, *FAQs* and
*How To's*. Many questions are already answered.
3) Scan the mailing list archives for related messages. You can search
the users list here <<http://tinyurl.com/6edyk>>.
4) Use Google or other search engine.
5) If these fail, then ask on an appropriate list.
These tips are expanded upon at <<http://tinyurl.com/3qy4k>>.
