You can't. A template is the setting for the entire document. Think back to MS Word (for example); when you opened a document there with a specific template, it applied to the entire document. The same applies for OOo. > > I have set the MLA template as default. > > Now, once I have my text entered, how in blue blazes do I change to the > second template (Comic Double Space) I made? You don't. Copy or create the styles that you use in your Comic Double Space template and use them in your MLA document template. IOW, combine the stylse used in both & create an 'MLA/ComicDS' template. > > Both templates show up when I do "new file" "template". > > At first I thought it would show up under "styles and formatting". Alternatively, you can create a Master Document: <http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOo3_User_Guides/Writer_Guide/Creating_a_master_document> But just like in MS Word... master documents can be a bear to manage if all the links aren't just right etc. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
