I tried again to enter data directly into the table. That wouldn't accept
any data either. Don't know if that makes any difference but it's some
additional data.

I had a problem somewhat like yours. I did not have the tables primary key
displayed by the form. When I added the PKey to the form I could
add/edit/delete data.
I'm not sure but I think OOo base requires that a table must have a PKey
in
order to modify data in the table.
