Thanks Harold. The problem turned out to be that my index (and primary key) was not set up with autovalue and I was not entering anything in that field so the record would be rejected. It works fine now.

I had a problem somewhat like yours.  I did not have the tables primary key
displayed by the form.  When I added the PKey to the form I could
add/edit/delete data.

I'm not sure but I think OOo base requires that a table must have a PKey in
order to modify data in the table.
