Hi

I am on dialup and lost my copy of OpenOffice.

Does anyone know where I can get a CD sent to me? (I live in Australia).

A list of vendors can be found here:
http://distribution.openoffice.org/cdrom/index.html#cdrom

Please note we cannot vouch for any of them. Also make sure they're
selling a recent version.

You might also be able to find a CD included with some computer software
magazine. Another possibility would be to download at work, a friend's,
library etc., where broadband access is available and copy it to a USB
flash drive or CD.

I would be leery of downloading anything with a library computer. You never know what malware some malicious brat has installed. This applies to any computer that has public access.

The OpenOffice.org web site publishes the MD5 sums of all the files available for download. The procedure for checking the MD5 sum of a local file is also published. Not 100% (nothing really is) but close enough. Download the file to a CD or USB stick and then check its MD5 on your own computer before copying it across and installing it.
