I've been having frequent stability issues with OOo 3.1.1 Writer on
Vista Home Premium, and since this is not coming up here it must be
something about resource availability on my system. There seems to be
particular sensitivity around the docking of the Navigator and Styles
toolbars, and toolbars in general seem to relocate from time to time. I
like to work with the Navigator and Styles toolbars both docked to the
right edge, but that is very unstable -- trying to dock them often
causes crashes, and even when they've been placed where I want them they
often are not there later (after switching to a different document, or
restarting OOo). Working with frames has also been an issue. In a
document with multiple frames, each set to have no border and containing
a picture (wrapped to page) and text, selecting the frame sometimes
causes a weird display that seems to partially capture the previously
active frame, has a fine horizontal striping several lines high, and
often undoes the most recent action. The only way to restore the mangled
frame is to Undo until it comes back. Can anybody tell me what's likely
to be happening and how to troubleshoot. the problem? Thanks!
