[users] Default dialog checkbox settings

I wonder if it is possible to change default options in various dialogs, 
in find and replace for example I would like to have the option "Search 
in selection only" if a text was selected in document.
Is there some files with default settings I could manipulate?
Could It be done with a macro in standard template document?
