Hi:

Already did the MD5 thing -- file was verified as O.K.

Setup 1.1.4 "Illegal operation" in Win98SE

OpenOffice 1.1.4

OOo 1.1.0 was running just fine; I decided to upgrade to
1.1.4 and got the following error message consistently when
the Setup file tried to do its thing. It never got to any
configuration dialogs:

[snip]

I have since upgraded (again) to OOo_1.1.0 but still would
like to get version 1.1.4 to install. Thus far files
downloaded from two sources have given the same
(non)-result. Failures are consistent and repeatable.

It may be a good idea to verify that the file you have downloaded is a valid file. You can do this using the MD5SUM utility as described on the download page.
