hi there,

which means it is for Windows. But i want it to install on Linux (red

(besides redownloding the linux version from site)?
thanks,

Some DVD versions of OpenOffice.org are out there with Windows,
Linux DEB's and RPM's, and even Mac's. If yours does not contain
any Linux version, and you want to install it there is only two
ways I see.
First look into your package manager to see if you actually have
it installed somewhere. [A good way to install a flavor of OOo.]
It seems that many distros install some version of OOo as default,
as I have been told, and I can easily be wrong.
Second, since you do not want to download a Linux version, the only
other way is WINE. For me, the dreaded WINE system to try to run
Windows software on Linux, only if I cannot find a Linux version.
Do you have Dialup?
If you do, then see if a friend with broadband would download
the RPM for your Red Hat system. Still, it is only about 150meg
for download, and a good download manager could do the downloading
while you are sleeping.
Sorry.
