3.2 is a version that has not been released to the public yet. It has been released as an unstable version to be tested by volunteers. It installs side by side with one of the stable releases and by intention it will not grab any file associations because it is not supposed to be used for your daily work with actual documents. As an unfinished release it may destroy your precious data.
