[users] Access file in OOo

As a recent convert to OOo I have found it to be easy to use and generally
intuitive. However, when I opened a data base file that had been built in
Access Office 2000 I can only view it. I cannot make changes and the edit
icon is greyed out. Does anyone know what I am missing?
