Blather: It's too bad OO.o chose to use the word Section when it was openly known that MD Word also used the term, but for something entirely different.

It's worth saying that OpenOffice's idea of a section follows the English language meaning of the word, whereas a Microsoft Word "section" is a type of break.

... I've ... discovered it ... can be used instead of Styles to break a document into different formats, etc..

Yup.

-- Apparently a *"section"* only lasts until the first page-break; right?

Nope. Automatic and manual page breaks can both occur within a section.

-- Is there a way to get a section to contain more than one paragraph?

Yes.

I thought maybe ALT-Enter and a few other combos, but no luck.

Try Enter!

-- How do I "find", or identify a section once it's been set? Doesn't seem to be mentioned in the Help.

Go to View | Navigator (or press F5). Expand Sections. Double-click the required section.

-- If I do something dumb, like leave my cursor inside a protected area when I add that "section" as one which is protected, is there any way to get my cursor OUT of it? The only way I can find is to delete the section and re-enter it, being sure to hit Enter a time or two before I mark the selection.

Click outside the section?

I trust this helps.
