Either or both of those options are capabilities I'd like to see added
to OOo. And if they were there, I believe a huge percentage of users
would take advantage of them.

Where OO.o saves is annoying at best.
My impression is that Windows remembers where you saved something last,
without regard to which program saved it. (This may just reflect my
myopic hatred for MS Windows.)
Is there a way to put this on a requested features list?
