You can only embed GPL software in GPL-compatible licenses. You can link
LGPL in any kind of software, but you can't "embed" it.

You can demand a pay for any LGPL library that you want. You can even
demand a pay for openoffice itself ;). This is basically the business
model of lots of linux distros.
As far as I am concerned the SISSL and LGPL do not conflict with each
other if we are talking about two modules
embedded in one package.
But extendedPDF is not licensed under the LGPL, but the GPL. And
openoffice can't be released under a GPL-like license and keep
staroffice as a closed-source app.
