and deal with 3.1.x that Ubuntu installs and updates. I still have
3.1.x on this
machine since even if I uninstall it and install 3.2, the menu and
default system
wants 3.1.x and cries foul when I try to get the desktop-integration
part installed.
So it could be Ubuntu, or the 64-bit "deb" version on the web site.
Whatever it is I really need help fixing the problem.
ANY ONE out there that can help?
Tim, part of the problem may be that you are not subscribed to the list,
and not everybody will specifically include your address in their
response. There are other ways to see the responses -- I can help
(off-list) if you'd like.
I've had similar problems with vanishing toolbars on Windows systems,
though generally the ones that have been "docked" to an edge stay put.
You might try that and see if it helps.
