I have looked at both links, and I did not find anything new.
Besides, "Windows 7 sins" is just a repeat of what is said about Windows
for the past several version. From my point of view, these two links are
not worth the time it takes to read them. That is why I gave reading the
last of the material in the second link.
For the record, I am writing this email on a MacBook with a dual
boot: Ubuntu is the other O/S. I have two towers: one uses Ubuntu
exclusively; the other was originally a Windows Vista OS. I have now
made this a dual boot: Win Vista and Ubuntu.
I am part of the Documentation project for OOo presently working
on the Base Guide. I need a computer so that I can experiment with Base
on Windows to see what differences exist in OOo Base behavior between
Windows and the other O/S's. I very, very seldom use the tower with
Vista except for this.
HAVING SAID THIS, this is really off topic as far as the purpose
of this mailing list is concerned.
