It is certainly true that Microsoft Word documents contain information that you might prefer others not to see. Word users should know that Word 2007 has a Document Inspector feature which can remove some of this sort of information from documents - ideally after they are edited and before they are published (if they must be published as .doc files). In addition, the Remove Hidden Data add-in provides a similar facility in Word 2003 and Word XP; this is available from the Microsoft web site. No guarantees, of course ...
