The easiest way to do what you're asking is to embed the water mark directly on the image itself. Get yourself a good image editor (I suggest the GIMP if you don't already have one you use), add a text layer that reads "watermark" (or whatever you want it to read) and adjust the opacity to suit your needs (should be clear enough so original image is still viewable but not so clear as to not bee seen at all).
