Oh good a dissenter. Well I do hope you and the OP have enough sense to
keep version specific templates. Overwriting these causes problems.

I think that what is in sversion* is the various release of OOo present
on the machine and has nothing to do with copying various settings.
However you can do what you want.

I certainly do not recommend that anyone do this. There are too many
release specific variables and files that, if overwritten with old
stuff, can severely affect how OOo behaves.
