I've watched this debate from a distance, and I've asked myself, "What is the
purpose of this list?"

I've seen David Teague on other mailing lists and never seen him to be less
than polite and helpful and, in this case, he seems to be trying to drop what
is pointless and not serving the list.

We define ourselves by our actions. When we stand up and make a speech, it's
how people know us. We may think we're proving ourselves the hero, but that
does not mean that's how others see us.

The more this goes on, Tanstaafl, the more I wonder, "What is it this guy has
to prove and why does he have to always have the last word and insult others?"
I have yet to see David Teague call names, but continually see you resort to ad
hominem arguments to imply he's not a mature adult.

How long are you going to keep calling names instead of admitting this is going
nowhere? How long are you going to insist on calling attention to yourself and
away from helping people on this list? How long are you going to keep waving a
flag that says, "See how much I can argue and be rude and not care about
helping others?"

You have a choice now: You can stop responding, in which case EVERYONE on the
list will be relieved, or you can respond and prove you have to have the last
word in everything. Before you do that, think what such an action will say to
everyone watching about you and who you are and your need to be right over
others.

Please, just drop it, everyone.
