OpenOffice, Have you tried www.defraggler.com by www.piriform.com ? They also make the crap cleaner, ccleaner.exe? Diskeepeer software, www.diskeeper.com has a great defrag engine which used to offer a 30 day free trial, can be run in the background continuously, and has all sorts of bells and whistles at a decent price if you like the results of the 30 day free trial?
Good luck. The one problem I've run into some defragmentation utilities is that CHKDSK /F command which can get stuck 'on' if the PC gets into a starting or shutdown loop and needs to be reset -- the 'dirty' bit seems to get stuck "on" Hope this helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tanstaafl" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, June 14, 2010 8:45 AM Subject: Re: [users] Re: Is the install of Ooo 3.2.1 incredibly slow? > On 2010-06-13 9:24 PM, [email protected] wrote: > > BY the Way, do anyone of you know any free Defrag software that > > works "WELL" with a NTFS 1 TB USB drive - one partition.
