Sorry I do not understand md5sum. However I do have a virus/spyware which I could not remove in spite of re-formatting my HD 4 times and re-instaling Win XP Sp2. I also have Avast AV, PC Threatfire and All-in-one Secretmaker. The first 2 updates itself automatically almost every day, and I scan my Desktop every 2 days always with negative results. I know that the maleware exists in spite of all my efforts to get rid of it because it sends garble e-mails to garbage; because I changed my first address in yahoo to garbage. Regards Sam

Where did you download it from?  I've never heard of a virus from
www.openoffice.org.  You can verify the md5sum of the package to make
sure it hasn't been tampered with.
