Re: jonathon

Awesome! If you could give me some guidance in how to go about hunting this
stuff down, I'm game.

Your comment about Hunspell suggests to me that Writer either uses some
totally different spellchecker OR if Writer does use HunSpell, somewhere
along the line in updating it, the tweak I am searching for got lost in the
shuffle somehow. If the first scenario is what you mean, is there a way
that I can install HunSpell and use it with Writer instead of its built-in
spellchecker, or is it not that simple?

As for Readability Report, you're absolutely right -- it would be ideal if I
could add in the capability for it to generate the output statistics I'm
looking for. I bet that's totally possible too -- again, I unfortunately
have no clue on how to make that happen, though. It seems like either
modifying Readability Report or modifying File>Properties>Statistics to
include the output stats I need that are not already there (i.e. # of
"mature words" as checked against the school's database/list of such words,
# of words/error) would be the easiest way to go about doing this. I doubt
that what I'm looking for doesn't call for designing some whole new
extension or plug-in or something wild and crazy.

I look forward to learning how to proceed. Thank you!
Jeremy
