It's an Evolution issue, as you can see that the first paste from OOo to
this msg in my email client (SeaMonkey) is single line spaced. The
standard paragraphs are all single line.
My only recommendation would be to file a bug here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution
[of course check to see if a similar bug has already been filed]
