If you are getting messages from the OpenOffice.org "users" list, it is because you somehow were subscribed to it. Ordinarily, that requires intentional action on your part that is completely parallel to what I'm describing below for unsubscribing. Since that does not appear to have happened in your case, I would appreciate a message off-list ([email protected]) to help find out how these subscriptions can be set up without this process. It's annoying for everybody!
Meanwhile, to stop receiving the list messages, send a message to [email protected]. Subject and content don't matter, just the address. You should very soon receive a confirmation message. Reply to that, and you should get a "Goodbye" message that acknowledges the subscription cancellation. Note that the volunteers on this list have no authority to do this, you need to do it yourself.
