You'll then have to adjust the columns, fonts, etc., to suit your page/preferences.Many thanks. This is better than the method using Thunderbird email as an intermediate. I lose some of the right most data that way. David TeagueThe following (after copying from Calc) might give the desired result, without the need for reformatting: Edit | Paste Special | Formatted text [RTF] Edit | Paste Special | HTML (HyperText Markup Language) Mark. Those do not paste as a table& you'd still need to convert to table. It would be a nice 'wishlist' to be able to select 'Paste as Table' in the Paste Special options.
What is the difference between using these options and creating a table? I can't actually tell the difference. The "Table" toolbox appears when I click in one of these pasted tables, and I can adjust column widths, row heights, add and remove rows and columns, etc. just as any other table. The RTF option pastes a table the same size as the copied Calc cells, while the HTML option pastes as a table filling the page width.
I tried this using the attached TableCopySource.ods spreadsheet, copying cells A1:B5. On pasting using the various paste special options, I got the results in the attached TablePasted.odt text document. I have done no additional formatting in this document; the tables in it are exactly as pasted.
Mark.
