I am using Ooo 3.2.1 on Mac 10.6.
I have a spreadsheet with a data-range defined. I have registered
the data-range as a database. I want to print the information in
the table to labels.
I go to: File -> New -> Labels
I select the database that I registered
I select the data-range that I defined
I select the database fields that I want in the document.
I select the Brand and Type of label sheet I want.
When I click New Document I get a doc that has only the field names
repeated in all the labels on the sheet. I have attached a screen capture.
As you will have seen (or perhaps not, as you are using Gmail), this
didn't make it through the mailing list processor - so no-one will
have seen what you sent.
What do I need to do to get the CONTENTS of the fields displayed
instead of the field names?
I think you need to select the records that you wish to include:
o Go to View | Data Sources (or press F4) to display the records.
o Select the records you wish to use.
o Click the "Data to Fields" button in the Table Data toolbar.
If you still don't see data, you may need to go to View | Field Names
(or Ctrl+F9) to toggle off the display of those field names.
I trust this helps.
