Hi All,
    I've tried this on both the Linux and WinXP versions of OOo 1.9.104.

    I'm creating a slide-show with an mp3 that plays in the background.
    When I try to import the file into the Linux version, I'm told that
the file is not recognized (actually I converted the mp3 to a wav and
got the same message).
    When I try to import the file into the XP version - it loads fine.

    I'm running kubuntu - any idea what might be missing? What does OOo
use to play mp3's or other audio files in impress?

Wes

This might be a good time to file an issue and make sure you specify that it only works in Windows.

Before you do that, you should upgrade to 1.9.109 and see if the problem persists.

The best way to have problems such as this evaluated is to file an
issue. To do that, follow this link:

<http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/pre_submission.html>

If you haven't already registered at the OpenOffice.org website, you will need to do so. You can do that by following this link:

<http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/Join>

Fill in your information and reply to the confirmation
email that will be sent to the address you provided. Once you have
confirmed, then go submit the issue.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It is important that you file
the issue to ensure reproducibility with your examples.
