I thank you for your tips but unfortunately I cannot reach the goal.
I have tried hard, but could not put the "Close" icon side by side with the
"Open" icon already existing in the tool bar.
I will continue trying.

Yes.
o  Open a document of the sort whose toolbar you wish to use.
o  Go to Tools | Customize... | Toolbars.
o  Next to "Toolbar", select the relevant toolbar from the drop-down list.
o  Under Toolbar Content, click Add... .
o  Under Category, click Documents.
o  Under Commands, click Close.
o  Click Add and then Close.
o  Click the arrow icons as necessary to move the new entry up or 
down to the position where you want it to appear in the toolbar.
o  Click OK.
