I would like to make a presentation using impress that I can then copy
to a Windows laptop to display. When I try to save my document as ppt or
pptx I get a requestor saying "The document may contain formatting or
content that cannot be saved in Microsoft Powerpoint file format."
I think that message pops up whenever an MS format is selected. It
doesn't mean that info /will/ be lost, just that it /may/ be.
Certainly, I've saved as ppt, seen that message, and it's been fine.
I suggest you save the file, and use MS's free ppt viewer to check it
looks OK.
What is likely to be the problem? If I go ahead and save as ppt will the
file be usable? Can recent Powerpoints deal with odp files?
Two more things:
1) If your slide does not contain complex animations you may want to
consider exporting it to pdf
2) the MS fee ppt viewer was working with wine so you should be able to
check your presentation also on a linux box.
