This would not seem to have anything to do with OOo, which does not "open up websites" -- that's a browser function, and unless IE7 is broken or you have disabled something the site needs (like maybe cookies) you should not have an issue with that. What exactly do you see when you try? Look up towards the top of the screen and see if there's any kind of error indication about something being blocked.
