Further to my E-mail below - I have now cured the problem. Not really knowing what I was doing, but taking a second look at the error message, and noticing the word 'Java' was mentioned, I decided to update the JRE on my WinXP machine - with the result that I was then able to Install and open OO 3.3 with no problem! (How lucky can you get!) Having been able to take a look at the new features of OO 3.3. Quite a number of things have been on my Wish List for a long time (Change Case expanded menu; coloured sheet tabs in Spreadsheets to name but two) - and I would very much like to thank all those involved. Is it my imagination, but the program seems to open very much faster than hitherto! John B
