Before it can even work on a tablet, they have to remove the needless
restriction on screen size,as it doesn't work properley on 1024x600
screens, 3.2 works fine, but not 3.3

Sure it can be done. All you need to do is get developers that want
to work on the project, for free, to get involved. That is how Open
Source Software works. :) Any one can do anything they want with the
source code.
