Not sure I understand. Connectors are described in the user guide
( http://tinyurl.com/5u8bt ) around page 277 in the impress section with
back references from draw as they much the same.

As to where one finds the toolbar, look on the mail toolbar (usually on
the left) for an icon with a curly line terminated with boxes when you
are in draw or impress.

don't know as I always use <some path>/soffice -[writer calc draw etc]
to invoke the module or use what is in the menues
