Thanks Michael, Your concern is definitely something to reflect in any migration road-map.
I hope we can stage the migration so that there is no loss of function until an alternative is available and folks can be guided to it with some advanced warning. I think there are enough folks around that can still edit the relevant static pages. I think we have time to figure this out. I don't think the plug will be pulled until we have a safe landing for the site, so there should be minimum disruption. - Dennis -----Original Message----- From: Michael Adams [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, September 03, 2011 18:53 To: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: Re: [users] Status of OpenOffice.org Preservation/Migration with Apache On Sunday 04 September 2011 04:14, Dennis E. That is one means of access that Newbies to the program look for help. We should not try to confudle these peeps more than necessary. Alternatively these web pages get replaced with a redirection page that is published for a limited time - say six months or a year. This request will possibly have to be discussed with Oracle as i don't know if the team that was doing web pages is still functioning. -- Michael -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] For additional commands send email to [email protected] with Subject: help
