*Resubscribing*
Among the services hosted by Oracle on the legacy OOo servers are over
300 mailing lists, including the mailing list you are reading now. In
order to participate in Apache OpenOffice.org through a relevant mailing
list, you will need to resubscribe to a new list address, per the
following instructions:
1. Send an email to *[email protected]*. This
should be done from the email account where you want to receive
the list messages.
2. This will generate a confirmation email which will be sent to your
email address. You will need to reply to the confirmation email in
order to complete your subscription to the new list.
3. To send posts to the new list, you will mail them to the following
address: *[email protected]*
4. And if you ever want to unsubscribe to the new list, you can do so
by sending an email to: *[email protected]*
We invite and encourage you to follow the above steps and to participate
in Apache OpenOffice.org project. If you have any questions, feel free
to post as responses to this note, or send a question to
[email protected] (you must be subscribed to the ooo-dev list
to post a question).
(To the list this time, since "The Apache OpenOffice.org (Incubating)
Project Management Committee" seemed to override the Reply-To header to
direct replies away from the list...)
Oh well, farewell all, since I'm unable to subscribe to the new list.
For those who care... incubator.apache.org rejects my mail due to my
ISP's SMTP server not matching the email domain's SPF records. Most
filters just assign a slightly higher "spam score" to mail where these
records don't match. but Apache seem to immediately reject it. I don't
have any control over the SPF records, and don't have any choice in
which SMTP server I use. (Yes, I'm sure I could sign use a webmail
account, but then I'd have to log in separately to check it, which I'd
probably hardly ever get round to doing.)
Mark.
