I think the easy way to get out of it, is simply ***not to bother*** with that newfangled place (I forget its name already) which recently was mentioned in an e-mail, and wait for this particular list-serve to die out. The newfangled list, is one you would have to subscribe to on purpose, going thru some other hoops. Just don't bother to do it. Eventually, this list will stop, and those who WANT to be on that other list will have to go thru whatever those hoops are, to get onto it. Those who don't want to be on these lists, just wait a couple of weeks or months or however long it takes, and that will be that. At this point it actually seems like the easiest way: do nothing, put up with these posts for (whatever, even if it's 3 more months), and that's it.
