We were evaluating OOo SDK for extracting file metadata properties. We found that successful retrieval of file properties with both SDK and OOo UI depended on file type and version. Thus, we were unable to retrieve MS PowerPoint 2007 properties, but successfully retrieved 97-2003. For MS Word we could not retrieve some properties of 97-2003 format but retrieved all properties of 2007 version format.
