Let's put a few things in perspective.
First, the "you guys" that you are addressing is only a community of
users like you. Some with more experience, some with less, but users
just the same. We all gather around to help each other out.
Second, keep in mind how much you have paid to acquire one of the finest
applications of its type that is available. You act as if you have paid
Gatesian prices and feel like you were cheated.
Finally, you can also contribute by going to
http://qa.openoffice.org/issue_handling/project_issues.html. There you
can register, login, and submit a Request For Enhancement (RFE) which is
just another form of Issue. That way your concern will be placed in
front of the developers and it can be acted upon. Until you do that,
your only hope that an issue will be submitted is if your problem is
also a problem for someone else who will do what is necessary to file
the report.
