When I run "oobase %u" (not that I know what %u means), from the kmenu or an icon that I created, in Suse 9.3, I get a window that says:
Openoffice.org requires a Java runtine environment to perform this task. The selected JRE is defective. Please select another version or install a new JRE and select it under Tools - Options - Openoffice.org - Java. I then clicked the "OK" button either 24 or 25 times (counted but lost track). I have done this 3 times, all with the same results. No problem running oocalc or the openoffice.org icon. I went to the oo.org site to leave a bug report, but after reading several pages and going through the search for issues query 3 times, I gave up.
