I am finding a bug in OpenOffice when teaching numbers of inexperienced
students. If the student gets impatient and doubleclicks on the
OpenOffice program icon more than once, the machine jams up. We are
using WindowsXP Professional as OS, and OpenOffice 1.4 in French. When
we close down, we then get a window asking us to confirm opening the
first instance, but we can't get at that window before closing if the
student has double clicked more than once.
I also think it is a disadvantage that the program closes completely if
you close the only document open; it seems like the gray screen should
stay up.
