Welcome,
There are templates for resumes on the OOo web site and elsewhere.
If you are on a Mac, OOo runs on the Mac under OS X with the X-11
windowing system that comes on
the installation disks and can be installed from there or downloaded
from Apple's web site.
As an alternative, you can download and use NeoOffice/J a port to the
Mac that uses Java and Apple's
windowing system and is more Mac like. Both use the same file formats
and documents interchange
between them seamlessly. I use both between work and home use. They
also both do a pretty good
job of reading and writing to MS Word and Excel formats. I don't do
presentations, so can not speak
to Power Point compatibility.
You will find that OOo or NeoOffice/J are very powerful programs.
Making use of templates and macros
can really customize and increase the power of the programs.
