It _SHOULD_ change it.  If it didn't it would be a _MAJOR_ defect.

It is both intuitive, and explainable -- if one understands styles.
And has not been damaged by the garbage that both wordperfect and
microsoft claim to be, but are  not styles.

There are a couple of issues with how OOo requires one to create
styles, but those aren't it.
